This is a compact and versatile high-performance tourer that paddles very well on flat or lively water be that on the coast or inland. It is a great choice for beginners taking their first steps into kayaking, as it has confidence-inspiring stability and provides a smooth and forgiving ride. With the skeg down it has very good straight-line tracking; if you raise the skeg, it becomes super manoeuvrable. The Stratos 12.5 surfs well and is great fun for coastal rock play. There is enough room inside the two storage compartments for a compact camping kit if you want to head off for a few days away.

Great hull design is complemented by the excellent cockpit outfitting, which can be adjusted to ensure maximum connectivity so every move you make is transferred directly to the kayak. There are 8 fitting points for fine-tuning the thigh pads, adjustable footrests that can be adjusted on the fly while in the cockpit, and the height of the front of the seat can also be adjusted. There is also a pack of neoprene hip pad shims so you can get just the right width fit, too.

The Dagger Stratos 12.5 is available in two sizes to suit a range of paddlers - the Stratos 12.5 S (small) and the Stratos 12.5 L (large).

Stratos E 12.5 S – the same boat length as the 12.5 L, but this model features a lower deck height and is more suited for smaller to medium-sized paddlers or paddlers with a shorter torso, but still with great capacity at 125 kg.
Stratos E 12.5 L – this model has a more voluminous deck height for larger paddlers or those who prefer a larger fit, and also has a maximum capacity of 135 kg.
