Wilderness Systems Tarpon - 100 E

The Wilderness Systems Tarpon 100 E is a superb all-around sit-on-top, being compact, stable and super comfortable. It comes outfitted as a touring kayak and has slide tracks fitted so you can easily add accessories.

The seat is fixed in position, so it feels comfortable and secure. The seat can be tailored to suit a range of paddler preferences by adjusting the height and angle of the backrest and the under-thigh support too. This can all be done on the fly while seated in it. The base is constructed of mesh-covered vented neoprene and has plenty of padding. Unlike many sit-on kayaks, any splashes drain straight through and out via the scupper holes so you won't be sitting in a puddle while you are paddling! This provides one of the most comfortable seats in any sit-on-top kayak and is perfect for those who want a touch of luxury whilst paddling.

The hatch covers are hinged, so you'll never lose them and they have a nice twist locking mechanism to close them securely. The footwell is smooth for comfort and is fitted with keeper footrests for achieving a correct paddling and sitting position. The Keeper footrests are adjustable on a track, pretty much inch by inch, unlike the moulded footrests in many sit-ons. There is a good-sized rear storage area for dry bags, fishing or snorkelling equipment.

The Tarpon 100 is very easy to convert to a fishing kayak - there is a place on either side and just to the rear of the seat designed to fit flush mount rod holders. If you don't want to drill into the boat, then use the revolutionary Slide Trax. These are factory-fitted slide tracks fitted flush into the hull where you can attach compatible track-mount rod holders, fish finder mounts and a wide range of other accessories such as; pennant flags to increase visibility on busy waterways, a safety light for early morning / late evening paddling and you can add camera mounts too if you want to video your trips.
